Bernie Clafferty Wins MMA Debut via UD in F.O.T.N.:

• Congratulations to Bernie "The Punisher" Clafferty for over coming all of the pressures endured from being a clear underdog against a much stronger and more experienced opponent. Having an entire section of fans there just for him, representing a team who was riding an undefeated MMA win streak and being on the events official fight poster, all fighting hours away from home (In his Debut Cage Fight). For anyone who wasn't at the Fredericksburg Fieldhouse on May 30th, for Stompin' Grounds presented by Barbarian Fight Club unfortunately missed out on a three round war between Team Blitz's Bernie Clafferty (1-0) and Blackman MMA's Salim Jackson (1-2). From the second the bell rang the intensity was explosive with giant slams, huge punches and smooth groundwork earning Bernie a Unanimous Decision Victory 30-27 / 30-27 / 29-28 and Fight of The Night Accolades. Justin Ayd Win Decision on 20hr Notice at Field of Glory:

• Congratulations to Justin Ayd and Team Blitz on yet another victory inside the cage at "Field of Glory" July 11th, under the big tent and lights inside the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds in front of over 1,500 screaming fans. After accepting the fight on only 20 hours notice standing in as an alternate for John Calloway (1-1) and moving up a weight class to Heavyweight, Justin squared off against Mark "The Monkey" Rakes (1-0) out of the Kennel MMA. For it being Justin's MMA debut he definitely got a little taste of everything his first time out, catching two illegal knees to the face while on the ground in the first round, a knee to the groin which paused the fight over a minute in the second and fingers to the eyes during the third surprisingly with no point deductions giving to his opponent by the referee. Then he had to experience one of the hardest things for any fighter, waiting for the announcer to slowly read off the scorecards of a split decision 29-28 / 28-29 / 29-28 in the other guys hometown. As the final score was read the crowed erupted as Justin's hand was raised in the center of the cage.

• Congratulations to Amanda Jenkins in her tournament debut with a 1st place victory at Maryland's Inaugural NAGA event... NAGA DC! Inside the Prince George's Sports Complex in Landover, Md. Defeating Team Lloyd Irvin's Jessica Chandler in the finals by Rear Naked Choke despite over a 30lbs weight difference to bring home the NAGA Women's No-Gi Middleweight Championship Sword. Amanda's now back in the gym preparing for her MMA Debut scheduled for March 13th, with Barbarian Fight Club at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds.
